My career began in policing, where I worked as a detective dealing with homicide investigations, domestic abuse, safeguarding, and child protection cases. I spent decades interviewing offenders and victims, supporting families through trauma, and witnessing firsthand the devastating impact of coercion, violence, and manipulation. Alongside my professional experience, I have personal lived experience of coercive control, which reshaped my understanding of how intelligent, capable individuals can become trapped in harmful relationships. My mission now is to use both my investigative background and my personal insight to help others rebuild their confidence, restore their identity, and navigate complex systems with strength and clarity. Through further study in neuroscience psychology and mental health, clinical hypnotherapy training, and nervous system regulation techniques, I continue to deepen my approach so that my work remains informed, ethical, and transformative.
